Parlor Member Pietro Simone Featured in New York’s The Cut
Soon available at The Parlor: A facial that makes your “face feel like cashmere.”
Aesthetician Pietro Simone’s signature exfoliation technique was inspired by his grandmother. When she and other Italian women weren’t able to purchase beauty products during WWII, they used remnants of cotton and silk fibers to clean their skin. Today, he’s carrying her methods forward with his own take—using silk thread to exfoliate the skin similar to the way it’s used for hair removal.
It will be on the menu of services at the boutique he’s opening at The Parlor this spring.
Luxe and leading-edge
Writing for The Cut’s “Oddly Satisfying Beauty” column, Jane Larkworthy describes the facial, which includes Simone’s Renewal Peel followed by threading, as “one of the best facial massages” she’s had in her life. It’s the perfect example of some of the cutting-edge treatments and exclusive services that will be offered by the beauty and wellness entrepreneurs who are joining The Parlor.
Coming in spring
Prior to launching his eponymous line of luxury skincare products, Simone worked with Maria Bruna in Italy and at La Prairie. In 2016 he opened his first shop in London, and started offering treatments once a month this fall in New York at the Greenwich Hotel. This Spring he’ll make his NYC presence official with a Pietro Simone boutique spa at The Parlor.
