Meet the Woman Behind The Parlor, NYC
Meet Our Founder, Pam Wolf
Equal parts entrepreneur, community builder and real estate pro, she’s elevating the NYC beauty and wellness scene with the right mix of luxury and convenience.
Sometimes the pursuit of beauty and wellness can feel anything but. That was the experience of entrepreneur and retail real estate expert, Pam Wolf. Like many working moms in New York, she was in a constant state of scheduling, trying to carve out time for herself and then rushing to beauty and wellness appointments when the moment was right.
“I found myself traveling to and from my favorite hair stylist, manicurist, acupuncturist, and nutritionist, who were all located in various NYC neighborhoods,” she recalls.
Coworking meets convenience Inspired by coworking spaces like The Wing, Wolf had an idea that could make her life easier. She’d had incredible success founding NY Kids Club (now with 20 locations in NYC and 110 in China), and knew the value of a community-based business model. So she created The Parlor NYC, a place that would bring beauticians and wellness professionals together in one convenient location.
“I quickly realized that this was not just a benefit for me as a client. It would also create a collaborative learning community for the professionals I was visiting."
Opening in 2020 And that's just what The Parlor NYC does. Opening in April 2020, it will marry convenience and curated, medical aesthetic talent with hospitality and community.
Wolf recently spoke with Modern Aesthetics magazine about her vision and how she turned The Parlor NYC into a reality. You can read the entire interview at Modern Aesthetics.
