QUESTIONS & ANSWERS with Megan Richardson

What is acupuncture?

“Acupuncture is the practice of penetrating the skin with thin, solid, metallic needles which are then activated through gentle and specific movements of the practitioner's hands or with electrical stimulation. Acupuncture is part of the ancient practice of Traditional Chinese medicine.” (John Hopkins Medicine. 2021).

What are the benefits of acupuncture?

“Acupuncture helps to correct anything out of balance including pain management, sleep cycle, and mental and emotional needs. You are essentially going in and resetting the circuit breakers, flipping the switch to find our body’s natural balance.”

What is cosmetic acupuncture?

Cosmetic acupuncture addresses concerns on the face such as acne, rosacea, wrinkles, fine lines, hydration, muscle tone and firmness from a whole body perspective. Cosmetic sessions incorporate acupuncture on the body and the face along with techniques such as cupping, gua sha, micro current, and Celluma LED.

Essential Oil Treatment

Through the sense of smell, essential oils affect the areas of the brain that control memory, mood, and emotions. The simple act of smelling a certain essential oil during treatment can add  another layer of addressing the root cause of what's out of balance in the body.

Using Doterra Essential oils, Megan’s essential oil treatments work on the physical, mental and emotional aspects of the body.
